Shiny peeling with fractional laser device (Action II)

Action II Fractional Laser Treatment

Fractional laser resurfacing removes layers of skin in a fractionated method. This helps reduce age spots such as sun freckles, liver spots, lentigines, and fine lines.

Do you suffer from damage to the outer layer of your skin and want to get rid of it easily and painlessly?

Tadawi Medical Center offers you fractional laser technology using the Action 2 device for scars, pimples, and pigmentation resulting from burns and wounds.

The laser beam to the face allows the stimulation of collagen production and makes the skin smoother, fresher, and clearer, under the supervision of a group of expert and skilled dermatologists.

What is a fractional laser?

Fractional laser technology is a non-surgical cosmetic technique that aims to rejuvenate the skin’s layers of tissue fractionally. This is done by delivering laser beams to the skin’s deeper layers, where the heat generated by the device works to renew cells and produce collagen.

It also gets rid of dead skin cells and reduces pigmentation, freckles, and fine lines in the skin. It is typically used for the face, hands or neck.

How long does it take for the fractional laser results to appear?

The fractional laser’s initial effects start three weeks after the treatment, but the final results take 3-6 months to appear after the skin has completely healed. Keep in mind that the skin needs 7–10 days to recover well, and the skin peels off and turns pink.

Does fractional laser whiten or lighten skin colour?

Fractional laser treatment is one of the important techniques to unify the skin’s colour, lighten its pigmentation, and add softness to its texture. It can also be used to lighten the colour as a result of sun exposure like a tan or freckles.

What are the benefits of fractional laser?

  • Getting rid of fine lines, wrinkles, and cellulite.
  • Reducing sun damage and pigmentation resulting from it.
  • Getting rid of scars and pimples caused by acne.
  • Lighten dark skin tone and improve texture.

When does the face return to normal after the fractional treatment?

After undergoing the fractional treatment, you will notice immediate redness on your skin, and after about 5-7 days, the skin begins to peel off due to dryness and the renewal of dead skin cells, and soon the skin returns to its normal but fresher state. Your skin will soon be bright, fresh, and pigmentation-free.

Is one session of fractional laser enough?

The number of fractional laser sessions needed for treatment varies based on the type of skin, the extent of the damage, and the patient’s response to the treatment.

In some cases, only one session is needed and may be increased to reach up to 5 sessions in cases of deep wrinkles. It is advised to repeat the treatment once every month or two, depending on the skin condition.

What are the side effects of fractional laser?

  • Skin irritation, swelling, itching, burning, and redness that lasts for several days after the session.
  • Skin sensitivity and infections that result in white pimples disappear on their own with time.
  • Bacterial, viral, or fungal infection due to an allergy to a contaminated and unsterilized laser device.
  • Increased skin pigmentation, especially for dark-skinned people, but the skin soon returns to its natural colour.

How do I care for my skin after fractional laser therapy?

  • Avoid direct exposure to the sun for at least 14 days after the fractional session.
  • Take medications, antibiotics, and medicated creams prescribed by your physician.
  • Washing the skin with cold water immediately after the session and repeat that several times throughout the day.
  • Avoid touching the skin or scratching the peeled area to prevent infection or scarring.
  • Clean the treated area in the manner recommended by the doctor 2-5 times a day.
  • Put an extra pillow under the head when sleeping to reduce swelling for at least 4 days.
  • Avoid physical exertion and sports that make your face red and irritate your skin.
  • Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and never using cosmetics.
  • Apply moisturising cream twice a day until the treated area is completely healed.

How painful is the fractional laser?

The fractional laser causes a sense of disturbance, a little stinging and burning, and a feeling of discomfort for some individuals, and the extent of the pain varies from person to person based on the patient’s ability to tolerate it.
